Software, no matter how complex, shouldn’t intimidate people. I design applications that people find useful and friendly.
Expertise
My main strength is interaction design, the art of making a product user interface intuitive. My other skills include strategic UX research, information architecture, visual design, and usability testing.
I approach every project by:
learning who users are, what they do and need
thinking in systems to manage complexity
caring about simplicity
As a former engineer, I work well with technical people and enjoy analytical challenges. I strive to produce designs that are easy to implement and evolve.
Experience
I've been on multi-cultural teams for the past 20 years, collaborating daily with people from India, China, UK, France, the Netherlands, Finland, etc. The work often came with the rewarding experience of mentoring less senior designers and engineers.
Though my recent projects were mostly professional products, I also have experience with consumer-oriented apps.
